Data Governance Promise

CanMe GmbH is consistently committed to the data sovereignty of its customers. Control and security of data are considered a central asset and are essential for digital products, especially in the network and security environment. Collected data, its storage, and usage form the basis for the functional benefits of our solutions.

We aim to make complex topics understandable through clarity and simplicity – a core value of our corporate culture. We also provide long, legally complete data protection and usage documents; however, this report offers a concise overview of what data we collect, why and where it occurs, who has access to it, and how it is processed.

We are not a SaaS or PaaS service that hosts components itself and thus must be "multi-tenancy" capable. The data and control paths of your network are within your company on your instances - there is no connection to other customers or CanMe GmbH. This not only brings advantages, but the complex structure and control is fully independent from us, unless purchased in a managed service, and not connected to our systems (except for license keys, etc.).

We don't even know your certificate.


The illustration shows the data sovereignty of a Cloud Area Network installation. All data such as certificates, naming, Entra ID tenant, or other features are neither collected by us nor can we access this data (except for managed service).

Below you will always see the current data that your instance transmits to us. This transmission takes place for billing and further development purposes.

All data that your instance provides to us is not "named" - meaning we will never know names, prefixes, or direct configurations of your installation. The listed data points are exclusively meta-data such as sums by typologies, general bandwidth, etc. The data will be stored assigned to your customer account and your organization.

If data points are added or removed, we will proactively inform you. Current information on which data is collected for improvement or billing purposes can always be found on this page or in your system. You can also request a detailed description or your current data from your CanMe contact person.

The Cloud Area Network gives you the ability to store regular controlled backups to a destination of your choice and to perform a reinstallation or restoration from there. Customers of Managed Services or Dedicated Cloud Hosting also have the option to purchase a Managed Backup Service.

We are happy to offer you a perfectly tailored and optimally installed environment in the CanMe Cloud. The installation is fully aligned with your installation - the various components are installed in a secured area that is built and operated exclusively for YOU. The data that is forwarded to us is the same.
